The daughter of the late George and Lena Edwards Wayman, she was born May 13, 1924 in Downsville, NY. She was the widow of Harry C. Ackerley.
Mrs. Ackerley was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Downsville. She had been a caretaker for the late Irving Berlin and his family for more than 50 years.
Survivors include one sister, Jane Butts of Fairborn, Ohio; one brothe, Merritt Wayman of Hamden; one aunt, Elsie Edwards of Downsville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband in 1995; two sisters, Hazel and Beatrice Wayman; and two brothers, Burton and Donald Wayman.
Funeral services were held at the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Avenue, Roscoe, NY. The Rev. R. L. Donahue officiating.
