Donald W. Martin, 67, Greencastle, PA, died Thurs., July 23, 2009 in Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown, MD. Born July 13, 1942 in Richmond, VA to Lacy E., Sr. & Sally J. (Bartley) Martin. He spent his early life in Richmond. Mr. Martin was a graduate of Manchester High School with the Class of 1960. He and his wife of almost 30 years, Mrs. Diane A. (Abbott) Martin, were married December 29, 1979 in Waynesboro. They had lived at their present residence since 1994. Mr. Martin was first employed as a sales manager for Moffitt Bearings in Richmond, VA and Atlanta, GA. He later served as manager at Northaven Mobile Homes, Hagerstown, for 14 years and then worked at Lowe's Home Improvement Store, Chambersburg and for Schaff's Mobile Homes, Fayetteville, PA. He later owned and operated Don's Lawn Maintenance in the local area. In the 1960's and 1970's, Mr. Martin served as a crew member for NASCAR Winston-Sprint Cup Race Team where he was responsible for the right front tire on car #90 on the Dunlevy Race Team. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter, Jacqueline A. Moore & husband Robert, of Midlothian, VA; 3 grandchildren, Corey Moore of Victoria, TX and Jared C. Moore and Kaitlyn J. Moore, both of Midlothian; a brother, Lacy E. Martin, Jr. & wife Caroline, of Chester, VA. Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro, PA. A second service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tues., July 28, 2009 in Fellowship Baptist Church, Coxendale Road, Chester, VA. Burial, Dale Memorial Park, Chesterfield, VA.
