OBITUARY - Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN)

Word has been received here by relatives of the death of Levi Eltzroth, 70, of Huntington which occurred Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Mina Poling, at 423 Indiana avenue in Huntington. He had been in ill health for approximately nine years.

Levi Eltzroth was born Dec. 4, 1871 to Lewis and Irena Stuart Eltzroth in Wabash county. He was married to Ella Ward, deceased, and to Bertha Jones, also deceased. He formerly resided in Wabash but had lived with his daughter, Mrs. Poling, in Huntington for some time.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Bailey Funeral home of Huntington, A.D. McKain, pastor of the Huntington United Brethren church, will officiate. Burial will be in Falls cemetery, Wabash.

Survivors include three children, Lamoine S. Eltzroth of Fort Wayne, Mrs. Mina Poling of Huntington and Ralph Eltzroth stationed at the Santa Anna Calif. air base; one grandson, Max Poling; two grandchildren of his first marriage and two brothers, Samuel Eltzroth of Wabash and Andrew Eltzroth of Amboy. Two children, two sisters and several brothers preceded him in death.
