Gerald T. Burleson, age 90, of Warner Robins, GA died at 4:15 pm Friday, October 9, 2015.

Born in Haywood County, TN, he was a son of the late Ivan C. and Cozie E. Moore Burleson.

Mr. Burleson transferred in 1962 to Warner Robins from Memphis, TN and retired in 1986 from civil service at Robins AFB, and in 2002 from 38 years with Rama TV Service.

Mr. Burleson was also a decorated U.S. Navy veteran and served as a cook on the destroyer U.S.S. Douglas S. Fox during World War II.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Frances Moore Burleson; sons, Terry (Gloria) Burlison and Freddie Burleson of Warner Robins and Dennis (Patti) Burleson of Atlanta; brother, Marvin O. Burleson of Memphis, TN; sister, Kate Edwards of Dyersburg, TN; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

A graveside service for Mr. Burleson will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, October 13 in Concord United Methodist Church cemetery in Gates, TN.
