Born in Louisiana to Joseph Dewey Pousson, Sr. and Rena Lejeune Pousson, he was a lifelong Groves resident and retired pipefitter from Texaco.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served as a Marine Medic. He received the Presidential Unit Citation and Purple Heart for wounds received in RVN with M Company, 3rd Battalion, 4th Marines. He also received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device, Vietnam Service Medal with Bronze Star and Fleet Marine Combat Operations Insignia.
Survivors include his mother, Rena Pousson; three sisters, Paula Hardin and husband, Bobby, Laura Johnson and husband, Tim, Dolores Boyd; two brothers, Keith Pousson and wife, Gay and Terrell Pousson; six nieces and three nephews; seven great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
