A native of Woodruff, SC, son of the late Joseph Pinckney Corn (1885–1928) and Bertha Mae Bryson Corn (1884–1956); husband of Buna Bryant Corn Abernathy (1912-2004).

Survivors also include a son, Wilbur Lee Corn; brothers, James Albert Corn (1915–2000) and Joseph Pickney "J.P." Corn, Jr. (1922-1995); sisters, Mary Eleanor Corn Wallace (1920–1991) and Mazel Lee Corn Messer (1906–1970); and one grandson.
Also predeceased by a brother, Joseph Lawrence Corn (1903–1955).
Funeral services were held at 4:00 pm, Thursday, January 19, 1961, at J.F. Floyd Mortuary Chapel, officiated by Rev. Harry McAbee and Rev. Paul Smith; burial was in Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
