Anna K. Ritter Dies Thursday, Rites Saturday
Miss Anna K. Ritter, 208 Kentucky street, passed away at 5:58 am Thursday at Holy Cross hospital following an extended illness. She had been in the hospital since Fe. 12. Miss Ritter was born at Kampsville, Illinois, daughter of John M. and Magdalena Brenn Ritter. She is survived by one sister, Lucille R., wife of Ernest S. Lair of Jacksonville and two brothers, Dr. Philip A. Ritter, Jerseyville and Eugene O. Ritter of Springfield. There are two nieces and three nephews. Miss Ritter lives most of her life in Chicago and Waverly, Illinois. In Waverly she was a partner in the Thrift Stores Co., the Thriftane Gas Company and in Jacksonville with Jacksonville Home Finance Company here and at Jerseyville. During World War Two she enlisted in the military service and served three years with the Woman's Army Corps, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. The diseased was a member of the Church of Our Savior where services well be held at 9 a.m. Saturday Internment will be in the St. Anslem Catholic cemetery at Kampsville. The remains are at the Williamson Funeral Home where family may call from 3:30 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.
