Pollard Brewer, aged 16 years, son of Mr. and Mrs. Holston Brewer, of E. Ninth avenue, died at 9 o'clock last night at the Mercy hospital, Pittsburg, as a result of an operation. Some time ago, the young man was operated on for appendicitis and had seemingly recovered. A few days ago however, he was taken suddenly and violently ill and an operation was deemed necessary to save his life. He was taken to the Mercy hospital Thursday, where he underwent an operation yesterday, from which he never rallied. The remains were brought home this morning on the 11:11 o'clock train.
Funeral services will be held from the father's residence on E. Ninth avenue Sunday at 1 o'clock p.m.
