Richard U. Singleton, 62 of Akron passed away suddenly Thursday May 6, 2004
He was born March 4, 1942 in Weston, WV, and had been an Akron area resident most of his life. A veteran of U.S. Army, He was a member of the VFW and Barberton Moose. Richard was employed by Park Ford (Formerly Goddard Ford), Tallmadge. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and several forms of racing. He was preceded in death by : parents, Hazel Stump Singleton Everson (Dave ) and Ralph Singleton, Former wife, Joyce Singleton of Canal Fulton. He is survived by : Children: Rick (Fiancee, Kim Work) Singleton, Akron Amy ( Rick ) Lyons, Wadsworth, three Grandchildren: Caleb Singleton, Zachary Lyons and Alexis Work; sister: Barb ( Wayne ) Anderson, Mentor Brothers: Ralph Singleton, Doylestown, Woodrow Singleton, Akron, Charles (Barb) Singleton, Akron.
