She was born in Youngstown and graduated from the University of Maryland. She was a control tower operator in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Youngstown Garden Club, Youngstown Civic Guild and the Memorial Medical Center Women's Auxiliary.
Surviving are her husband, John MacArthur, retired manager of the Marine Midland Bank in Youngstown; her mother, Mrs. C. Ray Haskell; two sons, John and Peter, both of Youngstown; one daughter Mary Elizabeth MacArthur of Youngstown; one brother Leo N. Haskell of Scotts Plains, N.J.; one sister, Mrs. Betty H. Colmer of Scituate, Mass.
She was predeceased by her father, the late C. Ray Haskell.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Hardison Funeral Home, Lewiston, with the Rev. Charles Stratton officiating.
There will be no visiting hours.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, the family said.
