William Jackson Foster, 80, died Friday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Milton Foster at Meherrin. Also surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Foster; three other daughters, Mrs. L.F. Umphlette of Waverly, Mrs. Claude Dunnavant of Victoria and Mrs. Charles Braswell of Windsor; five sons, Charles H. Foster of Ontario, Willie Foster of Windsor, Jackson Foster of Suffolk, Harry Foster of Portsmouth and Marian J. Foster of Raleigh, N.C.; three brothers, Nathan Foster of Sevell, Hester Foster of Suffolk and Jack Foster of Norfolk; 23 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral rites were held at 2:30 P.M. Sunday at Ash Camp Baptist Church with burial there.
