ALTICE, ALEXANDER R.: Born 1843. Enlist 21 Apr 1862 at Suffolk; Pvt in Company A; 53 Virginia Infantry. Detailed as a wagon guarde prior to 14 Aug 1862. Sent to Gen. Pickett's headquarters as a guard prior to 28 Feb 1863. Present through 31 Dec 1864. Died 1937. Buried Old Liberty Cemetery in Franklin County.
