Albert Milton Emmert Jr., 88, of Corsicana passed away Sunday, Feb. 15, 2004 in Corsicana.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004 at Corley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Rice Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be nephews.

Mr. Emmert was a lifelong resident of Navarro County. He loved his family very much. His wife "Aunt Bill" of 51 years and son Charles both preceded him, and were waiting for his arrival. His daughter Emmie was his heart. He worked for Leggett & Platt before retiring to watch his cows and garden. He served in World War II receiving many medals, including the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, American Defense Ribbon, E.T.O. Ribbon with five Bronze Stars, and Good Conduct Medal. He will be missed by the many people he blessed.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years "Aunt Bill" Emmert and son Charles Milton Emmert.

Mr. Emmert is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Emmie Jean and Bert Wardell of Dawson and Sandra and Ernest Sikes of Retreat; granddaughter Gina Jock and husband David of Corsicana; great-grandsons, J. D. Jock and Jason Jock, both of Corsicana; great-granddaughter, Jennifer Jock of Corsicana; sisters, Elize Shuman and Irene Witherspoon, both of Bristol, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and a big host of friends.
