Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Arantz, Decatur; one son, Capt. Carl F. Arantz, Jr, Cape Canaveral, Fla; one daughter, Mrs. Ernest Eltz, Birmingham; two sisters, Mrs. Irene McNamee, Birmingham; and Mrs. Marie Baur, Nashville; one brother, Arthur Arantz, Birmingham; and two grandchildren.
He was born and lived here all his life, and a veteran of World War I.
Rosary will be said at the home by Msgr. John M. Horgan. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Ann’s Church by the Rev. William Higgins. Burial will follow in City Cemetery with Brown Funeral Co. directing.
Pallbearers are to be Roy Todd, Frank Carau, Frank Yaney, Joe Joseph, B.J. Hoppenjans Sr, and George Sletcher.
