Mr. David Lee Goins Sr.; 33, son of Mrs. Annie Lee Mitchum Goins, and the late Fred Madrick Goins Sr.; Died Friday in an automobile accident off U.S. 17 A. in Georgetown County .
Mr.Goins , was born in Georgetown June 26, 1926, a son of Mrs. Annie Lee Mitchum Goins and the late Fred Madrick Goins. He had spent most of his life in the Georgetown area and was an employee at International paper Company for a number of years.
Mr. Goins , was educated at Oak Grove Schools in Georgetown County and served in the U.S Marine Corps during World War II.
Surviving are: his mother ; the widow, the former Miss. Geraldine Sing; three sons, David Goins, Jr. Randy Goins and Roger Goins, all of Georgetown; five brothers, Fred Goins, Horace Goins, Clifton Goins, John Goins, and Reuben Goins, all of Georgetown; three sisters, Mrs. Inez G. Lambert, Mrs. Mary G. Eaddy, and Mrs. Cleveland Lambert, all of Georgetown ; a half- brother, Madrick Goins, Georgetown, and three half- sisters, Mrs. Irene Radcliffe and Mrs. Mamie Tisdale, Both of Georgetown, and Mrs. Isabel Carter of Florence.
He was preceded in death by a sister,Vertie Goings Small.
Funeral services were held Sunday in the Pentecostal Holiness Church . Officiating was the Rev. M.L. Moore, Pastor. Burial was in Elwood Cemetery Annex, Directed by Mayer Funeral Home.
