Mrs. Ella Conn for over fifty years a resident of this place, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Albert Pardy last Monday after an extended illness.

The body was brought to the Hershman Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church, of which she was a member, Thursday afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. Pearson officiating. Interment was made in Riverside cemetery

The obituary, which was read at the funeral, was as follows:

Ella Jane Conn, daughter of Madison and Elizabeth Rush, was born April 28, 1864 at Watseka, Illinois. She passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Albert Pardy, Feb. 17, 1941, at the age of 77 years, 9 months and 17 days.

Most of her life was spent in Indiana and Illinois.

She was united in marriage to Lemuel Edward Conn, Oct. 18, 1889 and moved to Brook and lived there until the death of Mr. Conn, Sept. 19, 1925. From that time she lived in Indiana and Illinois.

To this union were born three children, Charles and Harry Conn and Mrs. Albert Pardy of Watseka, Illinois with whom she spent the last three remaining months of her life.

She united with the M.E. Church at the age of 17 from which time she has been a faithful member.

She was a member of the Ladies Aid and Woman's Home Missionary Society, and until ill health prevented, she was always active in church work.

She was a faithful mother, and a loyal friend to all who knew her.
