LOWVILLE - June M. Kellogg, 78, of Shady Avenue, Lowville, died Tuesday afternoon at Lewis County General Hospital.
Mrs. Kellogg is survived by her husband of 44 years, Carl; two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Karen Makuch of Utica, Stephen and Paula Makuch of Black River; a daughter, Alison Kellogg of Constableville; seven grandsons, Jody, Matthew, Mitchell, Bryan, and Dustin Makuch, Cody Kellogg and Hunter Lord; several great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by a sister, Florence Stevens.

Mrs. Kellogg was born on June 5, 1931 in Watertown, NY, a daughter of the late Henry and Mary Stevenson Farney. She graduated from Lowville Academy. She worked at Todd's Diner (now Lloyd's of Lowville). Mrs. Kellogg worked for Lewis County General Hospital for over 40 years, starting as a switchboard operator. She became one of the first nurse's aides at the hospital, before working as a ward clerk on the East Wing. Mrs. Kellogg retired as secretary for the Director of Nursing in 1989. On September 19, 1964, she married Carl L. Kellogg at Turin United Methodist Church.

June was a member of Lowville United Methodist Church. She was a life member of Lewis County Memorial Post #6912 Auxiliary, a member of Lowville American Legion Post #162 Auxiliary, an honorary member of Lowville Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. June enjoyed knitting, crocheting, four-wheeling and snowmobiling. She loved spending time with her grandsons.
