Age 67, a son of the late Konstanty and Eleanor Zielinski Walczak. He worked as a boiler tender with the School District of the City of Erie for 15 years, until his retirement in 1980. After retirement, he worked at the Inland Container Corp. until 1988. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and an avid Bingo player.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond J., Edward H., and John R. Walczak.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Charlotte Marki Walczak; two daughters, Mrs. Timothy (Cathy) Merski of Harborcreek and Mrs. David (Julie) Woll of Tampa, Fla.; two sons, Wally and Thomas Walczak, both of Erie; a brother, Charles S. Walczak of Erie; five sisters, Virginia Pippitt of Dexter, Ore., and Esther Andrezeski, Elanor Kubinski, Mary Zielonka and Irene Walczak, all of Erie; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
