Howard grew up in Nebraska and moved to Enumclaw in 1936 with his wife Lillian and family. He has a great sense of humor and could alway make people laugh. He loved the outdoors, hunting, and hiking Mt. Peak. Howard was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
He is preceded in death by his wife Lillian, 1 sister and 4 brothers.
He is survived by a son Gene Hartjoy of Enumclaw; daughters, Joan Cnossen of Enumclaw and Joyne Hyde of Eugene; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
