Here is some biographical information for my Great Grandfather John Martin Brown.

PIONEER CITIZEN PASSES

JOHN MARTIN BROWN, aged 67 years, died at the family home, 515 West Broadway, at 9:45 p.m. July 1, 1928. He was born in the state of Illinois March 6, 1861. Deceased is survived by a son, BOB BROWN, and a daughter, MISS FLORENCE BROWN, both residents of Anadarko. Funeral services were held at the Baptist church Tuesday afternoon by REV. SAM D. TAYLOR, with Farmer & Grimmett in charge, and interment was in Rose Hill cemetery, Chickasha.

John and Ella Hulme Brown had five children.

1. Little Joseph Brown 1892 - 1971
2. My Grandfather, Clarence Lester Brown 1894 - 1972
3. Robert W. Brown 1900 - 1972
4. Florence Roberta Brown Jurth 1903 - 1977
5. Roy Brown 1907 - 1921

Little Joseph Brown was married to Elizabeth Margaret Carroi on October 14, 1919.

Clarence Lester Brown, my Grandfather, was married to Mamie Celia King on July 17, 1921 in Chickasha, Grady County, Oklahoma.

Robert Brown was married to Eulah Vaughan on June 7, 1923 in Caddo County, Oklahoma. I don't have the birth or death information for Eulah Vaughan Brown. The marriage application shows that Eulah Vaughan was 17 years old at the time that they applied for the marriage license on June 6, 1923. Then Robert W. Brown was married for a second time to a woman named Josephine M. Vozzo. I don't have any birth or death information about Josephine M. Vozzo Brown.

Florence Roberta Brown was married to William R. Jurth in 1949 and they didn't have any children.

Roy Brown died from an accident during the November 11, 1921 Armistice Day parade. Someone threw a firecracker during the Armistice Day parade and Roy Brown caught the firecracker in his hand and let the firecracker blow up in his hand.

The firecracker didn't blow off any of Roy Brown's fingers or thumb, but it did burn his hand badly enough that he got blood poisoning from the firecracker incident and then he died on November 18, 1921 from the blood poisoning.
