Warner, L. B., born June 10, 1920 in Arlington, Kansas, passed away March 11, 1996 in Harrah, where he has resided since 1971.

He served in the Air Force for 26 years during World War II, Korea and Vietnam, before retiring as a Major in 1968. During his career, he earned many awards including the Distinguished Flying Cross. After the Air Force, he went on to retire from the State of Oklahoma with the Department of Human Services.

He was a member of the VFW, Masons, Scottish Rite and Shriner's Aloha Temple of Honolulu, Hawaii. For many years he has enjoyed attending the annual reunions of the 99th Bomb Group and World War II Bombardiers Association.

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Arlington, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Warner; sister, Lorena Rose Robinson; brothers, Donald and Edwin and granddaughter, Amber Jones. He is survived by his mother, Cleda Warner, 98, of Hutchinson, Kansas; wife of 49 years, Mary Lou; daughters, Sally Hendrix of Newalla and Sharon Jones of Harrah; sons, Lynn of Choctaw, Larry of Norman and David of Choctaw; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren; brothers, Howard of Hutchinson, Kansas and Ronald of West Palm Beach, Florida; sisters, Doris Richardson of Winfield, Kansas, Lela Byrum of Hutchinson, Kansas and Mary Poole of Stratford, Kansas; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 15 at First Baptist Church of Harrah with interment at Memory Lane Cemetery in Harrah. Services are under the direction of Asa Smith Funeral Service, Harrah.
