Funeral services for Charlie Gammill, 81, of Rayville, were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday of last week at the Woodlawn Baptist Church in Rayville with the Revs. Jimmy Dobson and Henry Bowdon officiating.
Burial was in Rayville Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Rayville Funeral Service.
Mr. Gammill, a retired farmer, died Tuesday at E.A. Conway Memorial Hospital in Monroe after a long illness. He was a member of Rayville United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Fannie Gammill of Rayville; two sons, Charles W. Gammill of Rayville and Elliott Gammill of Bastrop; four daughters, Mrs. Nelmarie Gonzales of Rayville, Mrs. Oren Rowland. Mrs. J.L. Walters and Mrs. Elmer Crumley, all of West Monroe; a sister, Mrs. Ella Ray of Rayville; 16 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Elmer Greer, Bobby Boney, Calvin Odom, Bill Finley, Glenn Bryson and Charlie Wood.
