Mary Elizabeth "Polly" Adams Patton was born in 1844 in Floyd County, KY to William Adams and Margaret Bays Adams. She married William M. Patton, of Floyd County, KY in 1861. They and their children, Mary b 1864, John B. 1867 - 1844, Margrett b 1870, Ella Patton McRay (McRae) b 1872, Wiley L. b 1874, Henry Clay 1875 - 1947, Sarah b 1880, Hattie Elizabeth Patton Malaby 1882 - 1954, and Anderson William 1884 - 1910 all moved from Prestonsburg, Floyd, KY to Bowie County, TX in 1888. A few years later they moved to Foreman, Little River, AR. After William's death Polly lived with her daughter Hattie's family, Hattie's husband, John Gosner Malaby, and their children in Texarkana, Bowie, TX. She died there in 1932.
