Hartke -- Edith Rose Hartke, 99, died July 8, in Oregon City. Born in the Redland area of Oregon City in 1899. Hartke lived in Oregon city all of her life and owned and operated the Oregon City Green House until 1948. Hartke is the past president of the Oregon City Elks Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the Florist Association and the dining room operator for the House of Representatives. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Karl Hartke. Hartke is survived by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. A public graveside service took place July 13 at Mt. View Cemetery followed by a public burial. Those who wish may conbtribute in Hartke's memory to the Oregon City Elks Eye Clinic.
