Active merchant in NY. Elected constable of the South Ward in 1719. One of five Jews who contributed in 1711 to the fund for the completion of the spire of Trinity Church. Involved in the project to build a synagogue in NY. He had seven sons and five daughters, many of whom are buried nearby in this ancient jewish cemetery in NYC.
