The deceased was the oldest son of Dr. Edmond P. Taliaferro, of Orange County, and was nearly seventy years of age.
He was a lawyer by profession and was college bred and studied law under Judge Brokenbrough at Lexington.
He followed his profession successfully for many years, represented his county in the lower house of the State
Legislature in 1873-4 and was judge of the county court for two terms.
Judge Taliaferro had been an invalid and great sufferer for many years, which finally impaired his once bright intellect.
He was a brother-in-law of Major T.P. Wallace, of this city. Two daughters survive him — Mrs. W.W. Pattie and Miss Georgia Taliaferro. (Fredericksburg) The Daily Star - March 3, 1898.
