Ferrell served in WWII and received 5 battle stars: Normandy, N.France, Rhineland, Central Europe,& Ardennes including the Battle of the Bulge.

O. F. LEDFORD - Princeton, Ky. - O.F.(Overton Ferrell) Ledford, 71, Princeton, died at 6:45 a.m. Wednesday at Regional Medical Center, Madisonville, following a short illness. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Morgan Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Soop officiating and burial in Greenhill Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Christian County. Visitation will be from 4 until 9 p.m. today and until 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
A native of Trigg County, he was born Sept. 3, 1915, the son of the late James Sidney Ledford Sr. and Julia Dawson Ledford. He was a member of Clinton Masonic Lodge No. 82; Razpah Shrine Temple, Madisonville; a member and elder of Central Presbyterian Church; and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a retired salesman from Louisville Tin and Stove Co.
Survivors include his wife, Inez Ledford; two daughters, Julia Ledford and Juanita Scott, both of Princeton; a brother, R. A. Ledford, Trigg County; two sisters, Mrs. E. L. Miller, Hopkinsville and Mrs. Warren Maddox, Memphis, Tenn; and two grandchildren.
