Clay Cochran, 69, died suddenly Saturday at 12:45 p.m. of a heart attack at his home, 514 E. 4th. He had lived his entire life in Winfield and was employed at the Seymour Packing Co., for several years before retiring a year ago. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Swisher Mortuary. Mr. Cochran was born Dec 28, 1884, son of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Cochran. He was married to Goldie Anderson on Jan 29, 1945. Survivors include his wife; a stepson, Charles Anderson of Fort Riley; three sisters, Mrs. Pearl Moberly, Mrs. Fred Hoover, and Mrs. Cy Elliott, all of Winfield.
