Lola B. Alexander
Mrs. Lola B. ALEXANDER, 62, 1120 Pontiac street, died Sunday at 4:10 p.m. in the Rochester nursing home, where she had been a patient since Feb. 3. Death came after a serious illness of 10 weeks.
Born Dec. 13, 1906, in this city, she was the daughter of Lawrence and May CASTLE and had spent her life in this city except for 10 years at Warsaw. She was married Jan. 20, 1940, in Rochester, to Clarence D. ALEXANDER, who survives.
Mrs. Alexander formerly operated a pet supply business, Lola's Pet Shop, at her residence. She was a member of the First Christian Church.
Also surviving are her mother, Mrs. Ora MOHLER, Rochester; two children by a former marriage, Mrs. Wayne (Phyllis) FRIBLEY, Warsaw, and David HILLERY, Leesburg; one brother, Alvah "Pete" CASTLE, Mishawaka; two sisters, Mrs. Russell (Emaline) CRABTREE, Albuquerque, N.M., and Mrs. Paul (Betty) GORDON, Rochester; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Last rites will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home with the Rev. Josef PALAT officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Tuesday.
