He has been married twice. First to Alice Amanda Taylor to which they had 3 children. Harold , Lois and Josephine.
His second marriage was to Dorothy Elsie Cullars. She had 6 children to a previous marriage , which was his Uncle Lester Leroy Caswell. Those children were David , Roy , Lorraine , Ellen , Bessie and Lloyd Caswell.
John worked on farms and ranches as well as the railroad.
