SCHNELKER Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie A. Schnelker, 54, who died of a stroke of apoplexy at 8 oclock Tuesday morning at her home at 719 Main Street, New Haven, will be held Friday morning at 8:30 oclock at the residence and 9 oclock at St. Johns Catholic Church in New Haven; Rev. William J. Ehrman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be taken home at 10 oclock this morning from the Harper Funeral Home in New Haven. St. Johns Altar Society will meet Thursday night at 7:30 oclock at the residence for recitation of the rosary. The deceased was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church and the Altar Society. Survivors include the husband, William Schnelker; seven daughters, Mrs. Carl Zoeller and Mrs. John Yaggy of this city, Mrs. Harold Van Winkle of the Philippine Islands, Mrs. Charles Weber, Mrs. William Hiatt and Mrs. Phillip Nulf of New haven and Miss Marjorie Schnelker at home; four sons, Harold of this city and Oliver, Robert and Donald Schnelker at home; the mother, Mrs. Barbara Sorg of this city; eight brothers, David, Albert and Charles Sorg of this city, Leonard and Frank of Indianapolis, Aloysius and Anthony Sorg of near this city and William Sorg of Poe; three sisters, The Misses Mary and Dora Sorg of this city and Mrs. Gregory Middendorf of Chicago, and seven grandchildren.Journal-Gazette January 10, 1940
