The Rev. Dennis L O'Leary 69 of 6 Randall St Hampton NH formerly of Worcester died yesterday in the Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, NH after a long illness.
Rev O'Leary served as an associate pastor at many different parishes in New Hampshire and held his first pastorate position in 1960. He was last a pastor at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Manchester.
He attended local Worcester schools and was a graduate of St Peter's High School. He attended Holy Cross College, Fordham University in New York, and St Mary's Seminary in Baltimore.
He was ordained a priest 26 April, 1944 in Manchester.
He leaves a brother, John T O'Leary of Worcester, 2 sisters Sr Miriam Agnes O'Leary of the Sisters of St Joseph Warwick, RI and Helen A Stark of Hampton, NH, several nieces and nephews.
Born in Worcester he was the son of Dennis M & Catherine (O'Brien) O'Leary.
A Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, Hampton tomorrow at 7 p.m. and a Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:30 p.m. Friday at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. Burial will be in St John's Cemetery, Worcester.
