A Bandmaster and 1944 graduate of the U.S. Naval School of Music. He was appointed Warrant Officer and was the first unit Bandmaster in the Navy to receive such an appointment. He retired in 1964 at the Naval Music School in Washington, D.C.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Florence "Peg" Albert.
Survivors include siblings, Kate, Ross, Chet, & Ed, and many other relatives.
Graveside services conducted with full military honors on Friday, October 3, 2008.
