He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Edna Becker, and their four children and 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was a first lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps, received his B.A. in political science from Louisiana Tech University and a Masters in education from the University of Texas at Austin. He was principal at Killeen High School and then entered the business world, involved in supermarket ownership, sales promotions, real estate, oil and gas, banking and telecommunications.
Fred enjoyed fishing, hunting and reading and was dedicated to his work. He passes on incredible strength, vision and passion for life and family.
