Obituary of Paul Anderson

Paul Anderson was born Nov. 5, 1974 at Dannebrog, Nebraska to Mads and Karen Marie Anderson. He died at his home in St. Paul on February 8, 1955 at the age of 90 years, 3 months and 3 days.

He moved with his parents to St. Paul as a child, where he attended grade and high school.

In early manhood he moved with his parent to a farm near Cushing.

On November 22, 1900 he was united in marriage to Margaret Mary Hansen. To this union four children were born.

They resided near Cushing until 1922 when they moved to St. Paul, where they have resided ever since.

He was a member of the Lutheran church.

In his quiet unassuming way he was a kind and loving husband, father and grandfather, and always was a sincere and faithful friend and neighbor.

Hi is survived by his wife; one son, Elmer; three daughters, Alice Anderson and Mrs. Hilma Welsh, St. Paul, and Mrs. Florence Williams, Hastings; four grandchildren, Paul Williams, Betty Welsh, David and Jane Anderson; three brothers, George, Charles and Arthur Anderson, all of Hastings; two sisters, Mrs. J.B. Glass, Grand Island and Mrs. J.p. Helleberg, Kearney.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one grand child, one brother and one sister.

Funeral services were held on Friday, February 11 at the First Presbyterian Church, St. Paul. Rev. Eugene Wekander of Dannebrog officiated.

Pallbearers were Clarence Anderson, Fance Anderson, Verne Anderson, Edsel GLass, Donald Glass and Willard Richardson. Honorary pall bearers were: Ed T. Bartle, Paul C. Larsen, N. Jay Paul, George Pyne, Charles Dobry, George P. Hansen, A.H., Nielsen and Bryan Jensen.

Flower bearers were Mrs. Paul C. Larsen, Mrs. Ed T. Bartle, Mrs. Edward Blazek and Miss Edna Nelsen.

Hymns were sung by Mrs. Nelle Oleson and Harry Lingford, John J.H. Bell was at the organ.

Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery, St. Paul, under the direction of McIntyre-Jacobsen Funeral Service.
