Minnie was the daughter of Isaac and Harriet (Jones) Thomas and was born in January of 1878 on the family farm located in Beaver Creek, Hamilton County, Illinois. Minnie had seven brothers and sisters: John D., Mary E., Silas Owen, George J., Arthur, Maude and Oscar. The U S Census of 1880 reveals some information about the family. Her father was farming in the Beaver Creek area and living at home included Isaac (29), Harriet (28), Mary E., (9), Silas O. (6), George (4), Minnie A. (2) and Arthur (8 months). Also living on the farm were Margaret S. Rich (30) and Joseph Edward (20 and a farm laborer). Around 1900 the family moved to Black Township, Posey County, Indiana. It was here that both her parents were born and raised. On August 27, 1902 Minnie married Charles E Ayres in Posey County. Charles, who was born on July 27, 1877, was raised in Illinois. The couple had two children: Stanley (born about 1912) and Jeanette "Jean" (born about 1919). By 1920 the family was living in Bement, Piatt County, Illinois. Eight years later Charles died (December 28, 1928 in Litchfield, Montgomery County, Illinois) and was interred in the Sunnyside Cemetery in Sorento, Bond County, Illinois where the family was living at the time. He was a firefighter by occupation at the time of his death. Left a widow, Minnie married Frank A Snow a few years later. When Frank died in 1945, she was once again left a widow. Following a brief illness, she passed away in 1969 and was interred next to her first husband Charles.

Suggested edit: According to her obit her parents were Thomas Burns and Martha Sensabough - son Stanley Ayres

I don't know which parent is correct. Betty Stripling has a newspaper obituary posted as a photo indicating one set of parents.
The "obituary" that was originally part of this memorial has no indication of authorship or validation, but lists a different set of parents and siblings.
Both obituaries list Jean as a daughter. Her memorial # is 167507099
Need help figuring this one out!!
