COURIER JOURNAL OBITUARY – 08/11/1988
Mrs. Burt L. Monroe Sr., 87, of Thierman Lane, died Wednesday at Christopher East Nursing Home. She was the former Ethel Mae Tuell, a member of Anchorage Presbyterian Church and a life master of the American Contract Bridge League. Survivors: a son, Dr. Burt L. Monroe Jr. of Anchorage; and two grandchildren. Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday, Pearson's, 149 Breckinridge Lane, with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
