MUDD – Mr. James A. passed on in his 72nd year, Sunday, August 15, 1965, at St. Anthony Hospital. Family residence, 1712 Marwood Place. Beloved husband of Mrs. Catherine M. Mudd (nee Mills); devoted father of Mrs. Robert L. (Virginia) Perdue, Mrs. Ted (Evelyn) McClellen, Mrs. William C. (Helen) Gruner and Messrs. James A., Joseph B., J. Walter and Robert F. Mudd; loving son of Mrs. Allie Mudd; brother of Mrs. Lillie Donelly, Springfield, Ky., Mrs. James (Bessie) Steele, Mrs. Bernard (Leola) Meyer, Mrs. Walker (Thelma) Hack and Messrs. J. L. and William Lee Mudd; also survived by 25 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Services for Mr. Mudd will be conducted Wednesday morning at 9:30, in the Russman and Son Funeral Home, 1041 Goss Ave., and at 10 o'clock in Holy Family Church. Interment St. Michael Cemetery. Members of the Holy Name Society will kindly assemble in Russman's at 7 p.m. Tuesday to pray the Rosary.

James Mudd, 72, died at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Anthony Hospital. Mudd lived at 1712 Marwood Place. He was a retired employee of Durkee Famous Foods. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Surviving are his widow, the former Catherine M. Mills; three daughters, Mrs. Robert Perdue, Mrs. Ted McClellen and Mrs. William C. Gruner; four sons, James A., Joseph B., J. Walter and Robert S. Mudd; his mother, Mrs. Allie Mudd; 25 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Church. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery. The body is at Russman & Son Funeral Home, 1041 Goss.
