Ellaville---Funeral services were conducted at 4 P.M. Friday from the Collins Funeral Home for T. J. Jones, 82, retired farmer, who died here Thursday afternoon at the home of his son, Marion Jones. Officiating were the Revs. J. W. Whitley, Mauk, and J. M. Carpenter, Hogansville. Interment was in the County Line Cemetery in Macon County. Mr. Jones, who had been in declining health before his death, was a member of the County Line Baptist Church. Survivors include the widow and four sons, Marion, Ellaville; Lester, Americus, Ira T., Albany; and E.W.Jones, Warner Robins, two sisters Mrs. J. J. Albritton [Ida Susan], Ideal and Mrs. H. H. [Harry Henry] Lansford [Lanford][Virlen Margie Jones Albritton Lanford], Bessemer AL, a brother, the Rev. W. C. [Willis Clinton] Jones, Phenix City, AL; and a number of grandchildren.
[NOTE: Preceding him in death were daughter Zethel Cleo Jones English, buried in Talbotton, and his father Elisha Jones buried here at County Line. His mother was Eletha Apperson Jones. She is likely buried here but there is no marker and no record. Her death was c1885. Her father was David James Apperson, memorial # 184445060.]
