John Groberg died at 5 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at a local hospital following a long illness. He was born in Westmaland, Sweden, February 13, 1840, the son of Andres and Katherine Anderson Groberg. He came to America with his parents on the ship "Nevada" in 1872 and arrived in Ogden in July of the same year. He was married in Salt Lake in 1874 to Johanna Larson and moved to Five Points, where he lived until 1890. Since that time he had made his home at Farr West. Mrs Groberg died a few months ago.
Surviving are two children, Charles Groberg of Farr West and Mrs. Ellen Crowther of Harrisville; and 15 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10 o'clock in the Farr West meeting house with Bishop Moroni Chugg presiding. The body may be viewed at the residence of the son at Farr West Thursday afternoon and evening and on Friday until time of services. Interment will be made in the City cemetery.
Flowers may be left at Lindquist's until 8:30 Friday morning.
