Richard E. Odell, 74, of Mikado, Michigan, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2006 at his home.
Born on December 8, 1931, to Reader Odell and Reta (Travis) Odell in Mikado, he was raised there. He served in the United States Army in Germany during the Korean War.

On July 31, 1954, he married Ann Lynch in Bay City. They were residents of Bay City until moving to Linwood in 1968 and Essexville in 1972. He was a machinist at Saginaw Steering Gear, retiring after 30 years. In 1986, he and Ann moved to Mikado.

He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Mikado, former member and deacon of First Baptist Church of Essexville, VFW in Bay City, and an avid fisherman and hunter.

Richard Odell was survived by his wife Ann Odell, four sons all of Mikado: Robert (Marchella) and children Robert Jr.& his daughter Alexis, Kevin, Timothy (Sarah), and Scott; Gary (Natalie) and children Michael, Daniel, and Nathaniel; Donald and his children Chrystal (Justin) Gillespie and Jessica; Richard Jr. and his children Zachary, Kyle, and Ashley Farnsworth. Also survived by brothers Marlin (Lucille) Odell and Laurence Travis of Mikado, and a sister Mildred (Stephen) Molnar of Mayville, and many special nieces and nephews.

Richard was predeceased by a son John Odell, two sisters, Lillian Tuckey and Beatrice Parker, a sister-in-law Twila Travis and two brothers Barry Odell and Jesse Odell.
