Sarah Fine Bethany was born in New Hope, Newton, Arkansas 1881 to Levi Pinkney Bethan and Sara Ann Bethany (email me if you want to know maiden). Sarah Fine Bethany later married John West Darter in Pope County Arkansas 1899. She had six children: Chloe May Darter, Laverne Darter, Ira Lee Darter, Iva Rhea Darter, Mittie Anne Darter, and Onie Anne Darter. She left numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a wonderful person who loved her family, and loved to sit in her rocking chair and knit. She is buried at Tate cemetery in Pope County Arkansas with her husband John W. Darter.
