SPRINGFIELD - Robert E. Redding, 73, of Springfield died at 3:22 a.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at Springfield Terrace Nursing Home. He was born June 18, 1936, in Springfield, the son of Miles and Ruth Redding. He was preceded in death by his father; his sister, Sandra Duncan; and brother, Richard. He is survived by his mother, Ruth DeFrates; brother, Ronald Redding; half-brother, Daniel DeFrates; aunt, Crystal Venable; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Following cremation graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2009, at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
