Amanda Nollie Proctor King was born Sunday, December 30, 1883 in Tallapoosa, Haralson County, Georgia, to William Henry Proctor and Harriette Blanche "Hattie" Cagle Proctor.

She married John Andrew "Dood" King, a son of Calvin Crusoe King and Amanda A. Harris King.

Mrs. King was the sister of Joseph Lelton Proctor, Milton Absalom Proctor, Margie Ann Crow, William Osso Proctor, Essie Lee Kirby, Emmett Lester Proctor, Ida Mae Vest, Benjamin Otis Proctor and Mary Tollula Smith. ~ Mrs. Nollie King

Funeral services for Mrs. Nollie King, 84, Danville 3, who died today at a Decatur Hospital, will be Thursday at Johnson Chapel Methodist Church, Rev. David Atkins and Rev. Lindsey Herndon officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery, Peck directing.

Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Printis Roberts, Danville 3; Mrs. Gurtie McConnell, Danville 3; Mrs. Howard Mitchell, Omaha, Neb.; Mrs. James Ward, Hartselle; Mrs. Clinton Jones, Battle Creek, Mich.; a son, Chester King, Decatur; two daughters-in-law, Mrs. Mamie King, Hartselle 2; Mrs. Nell King, Anderson; a sister, Mrs. Ida Vest, Hartselle; four brothers, W. L. Proctor, Hartselle; Lelton Proctor, Cartersville, Ga.; Odis Proctor, Atlanta; Abe Proctor, Georgia; 31 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

The body will be taken to the residence of a daughter, Mrs. Printis Roberts where it will remain until taken to the church for services.
