The family moved to White Owl when she was a young child. She was the youngest of seven children.
She married Paul Marvin February 9, 1923, at Sturgis. They ranched at Dalzell, where four of her children were born. In 1933, the family moved to the Black Hills, and in 1941, they moved to a ranch west of Hot Springs, where her fifth child was born. In 1950 they moved to Rochford.
Mrs. Marvin belonged to the Roubaix Church Sunday school and Extension Club. She was a Rochford 4-H leader and a member of the Rochford Fire Department. She was instrumental in building the Rochford Chapel.
She drove a school bus at Rochford for many years, and worked at the Rochford Store for several years. She worked at the Flag and Bear Mountain Lookout Towers for 14 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Pahla Therrian, Lewiston, ID, and Phyllis Schiefer, Rochford; a son, Darrell Marvin, Lewiston, ID; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; numerous step-grandchildren and families; and several nieces and nephews, and families.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, two children, two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday at Behrens Mortuary in Rapid City.
Services will be Friday at the Rochford Chapel, with the Rev. Larry Peterson officiating.
Burial will be in Bell Park Cemetery near Rochford.
Pallbearers will be Marvin Reeves, Corwin Roth, Bob Baird, Jim Benton, Charles Frohme, and Henry Baladez as active. All friends are considered honorary pallbearers.
The family suggests memorials to Rochford First Responders and Rochford Community Hall.
