May Bell( the way she most often signed her name) loved to play with all the children. She had a stroke in her early years(nineteen,I think) while at church in Comer. The family said that the person who came to her aid was Sank Ayers (John Sanford ), he only had one arm but he was a hero.He carried her home, I believe on his bicycle. She had graduated from high school and business school before her stroke. She did teach typing for a time. Her family nursed her back to health although a stroke ended her life those many years later.
