Casiena Ellen Fones, 100 years, of Anderson, Missouri passed away on July 22, 2014 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.

Casiena was born on May 29,1914 in St. Louis, Missouri the eldest child of 12 born to the late Everett and Cleo (Sharp) Bross. She married the love of her life, Earl Joseph Fones on September 25, 1937 in Quincy, Illinois. The Clergy uniting them in marriage was her father, Reverend Everett Bross. She studied at the Art Institute in Chicago, Illinois and graduated from the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois. They moved to Anderson, Missouri 41 years ago coming from Rockford, Illinois. Casiena was an award winning painter specializing in oil landscapes. She was a member of the Hill Top Country Painters and a member for 26 years with Tops. Casiena enjoyed doing crossword puzzles every day and was independent and driving still at the age of 100.

She was preceded in death by her parents; nine siblings and a grandchild, Lisa Williams.

Funeral services for Casiena will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 25, 2014 at the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home. Pastor Marilyn O'Brien will officiate. Burial will follow the service at the Tracy Cemetery in Anderson, Missouri. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. until service time. The family will receive friends at this time.
