Judge Gardner died Sunday, June 25, 2000, in Providence Hospital, Columbia. Born in Kershaw August 4, 1927, he was a son of the late Thomas Jackson Gardner Sr. and Mae Kennington Gardner. He served as Judge for the Town of Kershaw, and was the Chief Magistrate for 28 years for Lancaster Co. He attended Spartanburg Junior College, was a member of Abney Lodge 211, a Shriner in the Jamil Temple and a former Secretary of the Sunday School at Buffalo Baptist Church.
