Frances J. Askins, 62, of 355 S. 14th Street, died Friday, August 15, 1986 in Community General Osteopathic Hospital.

She was the secretary for the Harrisburg Housing Authority.

Frances was a member and flutist for the Harvest Church in Mechanicsburg and a former flutist with the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra.

She gave private piano lessons.

Surviving are a daughter; two sons; four grandchildren; two sisters: Marjorie Frank of Hollis, New Hampshire and M. Sylvia Cheney of Virginia Beach, Virginia; three brothers: Lewis H. Hetrick of Summerdale, the Rev. Oden C. Hetrick, Jr. of Duncannon and William L. Hetrick of Janesville, Wisconsin.
