DOVER - Harry E. Goodwin, 98, of Dover, died at 10:40 p.m. Thursday at Manor Care Health Services Kingston Court. He was the husband of the late Catharine (Beck) Goodwin.
The service will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Emig Funeral Home, 47 N. Queen St., Dover. Burial will be in Dover Union Cemetery. Viewing will be 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Goodwin was born Feb. 12, 1900, in Dover Township. He was the son of the late Charles and Mary Ellen Goodwin.
Mr. Goodwin is survived by two sons, Glenn Goodwin of Moorehead City, N.C., and Carl Goodwin of Thomasville; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Kurvin Goodwin of York and Howard Goodwin of Dover. Mr. Goodwin was preceded in death by three sons, Ralph Goodwin, Clair Goodwin and Dale Goodwin; and a daughter, Helen Saylor. Officiating at the service will be Chaplain Wendy Anderson of Manor Care Health Services Kingston Court.
